Another formula running at the stock car meeting was Unlimited Bangers. These are the larger road cars. This Taxi’s diesel engine had been replaced with a V6 Ford. Didn’t help it much as it only lasted a few laps before being reduced to what we see here. Incidentally, the driver was fine, he’s the guy in the orange overalls. Paul (Stormin) Normal 999.

I occasionally go watching Stock Car racing. This is one of the cars at Buxton Raceway. It’s a V8 Hot Stox. But it’s no ordinary stock car. This one is road legal. Taxed, MoT’ed, windscreen, lights, mirrors - non of which you’d normally see on a stock car. Built by Rob Maw 409. It’s never been in a real stock car race.
