I used to work in Chester, but it was too far away from Ashton-under-Lyne to easily commute every day, so I used to stay here. The George and Dragon. Nice pub/hotel. Good for watching the football with some mates, having a few beers, then retiring to my room handily just up the stairs.
What a great looking pub. I love Chester and my first memory was a day trip from Manchester with my family. My Dad was in the 22nd Cheshire Regiment (during the Second World War) and I remember the visit around the Military Museum at Chester. Happy Days.
