Grand Union Canal



The Grand Union Canal runs through Milton Keynes. I cycled over to it and along the tow path for a mile or two. In fact, the first time I ever came here was on a narrow boat on this very canal, many years ago now.

    Looks nice & peaceful. The towpath looks like its decent for riding on too. I'm reading a book about a narrowboat (& a whippet) at the moment.

    I'd imagine the lie of the land is a bit flatter down there, i.e less locks.

    There is the odd hill, but it certainly aint Saddleworth!
