I heard on the news that Ashton centre was closed due to an ‘incident’, so I cycled over and took a peek.

What time did you get there. I was on the 330 just before 1pm and there were visible flames to be seen and terrible black smoke - A white van looked to have been completely burnt out. The whole rdbt was gridlocked and it took the bus about 10 minutes to finally make it across. Traffic travelling along the bypass must have been backed up quite a way.
